Atheri
Atheri is my "main" character, the first one I ever made, and the highest-level (at least for now). She's a night-elf hunter, mostly because hunters were suggested as a good class to learn to play the game with, being relatively uncomplicated and almost equally well-adapted to solo and group play. She started out on the Bloodhoof server, with the Pale Moon Rising guild, and then after the Burning Crusade expansion came out, when Blizzard split Bloodhoof, she moved to the Area 52 server. She's an officer for the No Help at All guild.

Night-elf, night time... I like the pose and background and stuff. No, I didn't take the picture in Night-elf lands. I actually think Loch Modan is prettier at night. Atheri was about 20th level when I took this, I think.

Somewhat more recent - she's about 42nd level here, I think. She does have a helm, but I don't like the way it looks, so it's hidden. Also, it gives her a cramp in the ears. ;-) This is in the park in Stormwind.

Therival
Therival was my second character. I wanted a dwarf as an antidote to the overwhelming gloomy seriousness of the Night-elf lands/quests. I thought a healer would be good for finding groups. Alas, it's not as good as you'd think, at least at low levels. And priests are almost impossible to solo. Oh, well. He started out on Bloodhoof, with Pale Moon Rising, and when Bloodhoof got split, he moved to Area 52 and No Help at All.

My most recent portrait shot of Therival - about 28th level. I think this is the inn in the Wetlands. I like that he's not wearing a robe, even though he's a priest. But is it just me, or does it look like he's got bunnies or maybe cute mousies on the tops of his boots?

Dawn Firehand
Dawn is my first character on a role-playing server (Sentinels). Despite the fact that most people on the RP servers treat them mostly like regular servers, I try to keep him at least mostly in-character. Dawn was an orphaned street-urchin who lived in the canals of Stormwind until befriended by an older boy, Baschian. Baschian recognized Dawn's potential and managed to get him training as a firemage, and then adopted him into his small but elite cadre of thieves and ne'er-do-wells, the Shroud of Night. Dawn's risen quickly through those ranks, and is now one of Baschian's top lieutenants, along with Catreenia, Baschian's wife.

This was around 20th level, in Redridge. Yes, the glasses are kind of doofy, but until I find better head-gear for him, he's stuck with them. Most of the rest of his gear has changed since then, at least.

Zoya Natovna
Zoya is also on the role-playing server Sentinels, in the Shroud of Night guild. She admits to no past. She is a warlock not because she enjoys associating with the evil of summoned demons, but because she is interested in the philosophical ramifications therein: if an evil being is coerced to perform good actions, what, precisely, is its moral state? Granting that slavery is evil, is it evil to enslave an evil being and force it to behave in a non-evil fashion? What, then, is the moral state of the slaver? Of course, there are those who would say she's simply slightly insane... and she'd be the last one to try to deny their point. Zoya's association with the Shroud of Night is primarily a tangent to this complex philosophical study.

Even the most powerful of warlocks has to sleep occasionally, and Zoya's only about 20th level.

This is actually the captain's cabin in the ship from Menethil Harbor to Theramore (I spend almost all voyages in there, with all my characters), but I think it makes a perfectly reasonable background for what Zoya's own room might look like.

Zenala
Zenala is my first Horde character. I'd been tossing around the pros and cons of making a Horde character anyway, when my friend Todd suggested that I should join him and some friends in a Horde guild on the Draenor server. So I made up a Tauren druid (I'd been wanting to try the druid class anyway). After the Burning Crusade expansion, Draenor (along with Bloodhoof) was proclaimed too full, and we opted to move to Blade's Edge. The group isn't in a formal guild, yet, but we try to get together about once a week and play together. Zenala's a good 5+ levels behind the others, which has the result that when we play together, they sort of treat her like a favorite kid sister. It's kind of fun.

This is a fairly old picture of Zen, from back when she was maybe about 12th level.

Since she acquired her cat-form, Zenala spends most of her time in it. If for no other reason than she's got a talent that makes her movement a little bit faster in this form, so it's good for crossing long distances.

Also, it's got the super-handy ability to hide, and it does a lot of damage in a fight. Here she is, poised to leap onto an unsuspecting target below. As soon as it respawns, that is.

Indriel
I got the Burning Crusade expansion for Valentine's Day '07 (hurrah for geeks bearing gifts) and Indriel was the near-immediate result. My first thought was a blood elf warlock, but I already have a warlock, so I went with rogue as the next best "evil" option. I went with a male character strictly because I adore the male blood elf laugh. For a non-RP character, he's got entirely too much personality. I like playing him right now; I'm waiting to see how he pulls through the 20-25th level slump.

I think Indriel is about 8th level, here.
