Liz's Photo Album

January 2005

Penny gets the hang of opening presents, just in time for the holidays to be over.

But she's still more interested in the wrapping than the actual present.

Penny likes Jess's rocking chair!

Jess systematically steals her dad's gifts and hides them under the table.

Jess thinks she has succeeded in stealing the toy, but Penny plots her revenge...

No, it goes in here! No, you push this button!

Penny and Jess put their heads together...

Cute babies? We got cute babies!

Very fresh! Just smell!

Cute modelling pose

'COW!' 'Yes, (for the eight hundredth time) that's a cloud of steam.'

Penny is amused by the chef's antics.

Alma, Sharon, Bill, and Chet

Bill, Chet, and Wilma

Fiery Volcano of DEATH! Well, of onion, anyway.

Penny really did eat mushrooms from Matt's chopsticks for the whole meal.

Uncle John: LOOK at the WATCH. You are getting SLEEPY. You do not want to tell me about the CLOUDS any more!

If my camera had a wide-angle lens, you'd see that every single person at the table was watching... Penny.

Penny demanded that John pick her up after dinner. He was happy to oblige.

Wilma - smiling for the camera. Liz - smiling for the camera. Penny - fixated on the BALLOONS.

Four Generations, one year later, a lot less formal.

No, I don't think we have even a single picture with even three of us looking at the camera, much less four.

...and Penny's back to the balloons.

Kris is getting too pregnant to hold two little girls on her lap.

Penny likes yogurt so much, she needs two spoons!

Of course, she's not quite what you'd call proficient with a spoon, yet.

Here, Dad! Have some yogurt!

(Sometimes, a baby needs a helping hand. Finger. Whatever.)

There's got to be a way to make this spoon thing work...

My view, just before I turn into my office's parking lot in the morning.

Utterly gorgeous sunset, as seen from our front porch.

Wider angle of sunset

Pretty clinging snow.

My first dabbles with Chinese brush painting.

Chinese brush painting - birthday card for Dad.

Ice-coated trees are pretty.

Especially with the sun shining through them.

The whole yard looks like it's made of crystal.

Or spun glass.

Sideways icicles... Can you tell the wind was blowing?

Penny shows off her freshly-cleaned face.

Matt plots to tickle the baby... as soon as her mouth isn't full of milk.

B'woooooooon!

Ahhhh, refreshing!

Grandad is permitted to hold the balloon! What an honor!

As always, Penny is the center of attention, even when she's not paying attention.

Penny is the queen of 'tude... Or is that toast?

Four, four pieces of toast in one hand, ah-ah-ah!

If Penny tells me when she's sixteen that she got a star tattoo on one palm, and a moon tattoo on the other, I'll know it's my fault.

One of Penny's favorite non-stuffie toys. And mine, as she'll actually play with this on her own.

Someone tried to tell us that Penny looks more like me than Matt. Ha, I say! HA!

Movies!

Penny eating with a spoon, and her transparent attempt to distract me from taking pictures by pointing out a mythical "ball" floating somewhere in the kitchen. (approx. 3.3M, 4.5M, and 3.7M, respectively)
